Chicago Area Camera Club
Association (CACCA)
The following is from CACCA's web site:
CACCA is an Association open to all Camera Clubs located in the Chicago
Area, including Wisconsin and Indiana that wish to actively participate in CACCA
activities.
The objective of CACCA is the development of fellowship among member Clubs
and promotion of photographic interests and accomplishments.
Camera Clubs may become members of CACCA by application to the membership
chairman and acceptance by the Board of Directors. A delegate represents each
club at monthly meetings that are held at the Palos Heights Methodist church,
121st and Harlem Ave., on the second Saturday of the month, October through May.
Each month CACCA Clubs and their members compete in Print, Slide and Digital
judgings. Interclub competitions are scheduled in Pictorial Slides, Large and
Small Monochrome and Color Prints, Pictorial Digital Projected Images.
Individuals can compete in Nature Prints and Slides, Photojournalism Prints and
Slides, Alteration of Reality Digital Projected Images, and Portrait Prints and
Slides in a series of three monthly contests.
In March we sponsor the Spring Salon (a juried show), where club members and
the general public may enter their prints, slides and digital projected images
in various divisions. At the end of the year there are judgings held for the
best prints, slides and digital images of the Year.
In June we hold our Annual Banquet where all Best of Year, Salon and Special
Awards are given out.
