Naming Digital Image Files for Competition

Digital image files to be submitted to CACCA for the Digital Pictorial Projected Image Competitions must use the following naming convention.

Example of an acceptable file name:   28~CPI~1~John Doe~River Walk.jpg

Field Description
28  CACCA club number - SCCC is 28.
CPI  Competition type - CPI is for "Color Pictorial Images" and should be used for all images (other than Alteration of Reality) including both color and monochrome.

For Alteration of Reality, the code is ARI.
1  The sequence number or round.  "1" indicates it is the first image to be displayed for our club.  As only 4 entries are allowed per competition, the images must be numbered as 1 - 2 - 3 - 4. (Numbers 5 - 8 are used for makeup images)
John Doe  The maker's name, first name <space> last name.
River Walk.jpg  The tile of the image.  This is limited to 35 characters, including spaces.  Names longer than 35 characters will be shortened to meet these requirements.

NOTE: The tilde (~) must be used to separate the different fields as shown in the examples.

The images included in a standard entry from our club would look like this:

28~CPI~1~John Doe~River Walk.jpg
28~CPI~2~Jane Doe~Blue Sky.jpg
28~CPI~3~Jim Doe~Zoo Kids.jpg
28~CPI~4~Jenny Doe~Full Moon.jpg

Members wishing to enter images in the digital competition should contact Betty to coordinate the entry process.  If you have any technical questions regarding resizing your images, contact Bill Ruting.
