UPDATE: SCCC To Accept Submissions for CACCA DPI

The SCCC Board has decided to begin accepting pictures for the January CACCA DPI competition.  Members may submit up to two (2) images to be reviewed for submission to CACCA.  All images must be submitted on or before the December 16 meeting.  Images may be e-mailed to Bill Ruting (my e-mail address is in the club directory or call me at 708.539.4791)  or may be submitted on any media - CD, DVD, memory card, thumb drive, etc.)  It is preferable that images be resized and given file names as required by CACA, however, for a short time, Bill will do the resizing and will generate file names for those who are uncertain on the process.  NOTE:  Bill is not responsible for the final appearance of the image.  He will not make and changes to the image, only resize it to CACCA requirements.

Once the submissions have been received, all will be displayed on a gallery on this web site for viewing and voting by members of SCCC.  You will be allowed to vote for up to four (4) images by title; no maker's names will be shown.  The closing date for voting will be posted on the site.

Once the voting is completed, the selected images will be announced and these will be submitted to CACCA for the January competition.

The SCCC Board has also authorized a sub-committee to begin exploring the costs and specifications for a digital projector.  This will be reviewed in more detail at our next meeting.

The following information is for members wishing to submit digital images for the CACCA "Pictorial Digital Projected Image" competition.  More information on specific requirements will be added as it is available.

•  Image submission for the Digital Pictorial Projected Image Competitions must be made via e-mail
•  The procedures for preparing and submitting images for the Digital Pictorial Projected Image Competitions breaks down into four steps:

1. Prepare the image; the image must not be more than 768 pixels in height and 1024 pixels in width*; all images must be in the JPG format.
2. The image must be named following the naming process established by CACCA (click here for more information).
3. All submitted images must be collected into a single "Zip" file.
4. The Zip file is submitted by the club via e-mail.
